Meet, Sunny Parker, my friend and facilitator for Keto Lone Star, Marble Falls. Sunny and I met about a year ago and really connected while sharing our life long struggles with the diet roller coaster of calories in/calories out mentality and practice. She too found freedom through replacing that ingrained protocol with the freeing lifestyle changes that Keto and Fasting brought to living. She too celebrates the joys of healing through a combined proticole of eating ketogenically, intermittent fasting, and extended fasting.
Presently Sunny shares her story and helps guide others in the local Keto Lone Star-Marble Falls Keto community chapter. Within the group she lovingly offers guidance and caring help leading others to finding the freedom from food that she has realized. It is truly a beautiful community service and charmic love!

Sunny's offering of New Year's Motivation
I’ve woken up every New Year’s Day of my entire adult life vowing to start or continue an effort to lose weight. In fact, my mother dragged me to my first Weight Watchers meeting when I was 11 years old. I spent a lifetime following every piece of standard medical and nutritional advice I could get my hands on. I gained and lost 100’s of pounds the way most people gain and lose 10. Willpower was not my problem. I could suffer my way through the loss, but my body immediately put back on what I had lost and more, even though I did not return to any crazy overeating patterns.
Six years ago, I was lucky enough to stumble across Gary Taubes book, Why We Get Fat, and a veil of self blame and shame was lifted from me. I started reading about and following a Ketogenic way of life.
Within 6 weeks, my body was free from a life-long addiction to carbohydrates and my body started the slow process of healing. I continued my journey, knowing I would never return to eating the Standard American Diet.
After 5 years Keto, I began to hear about Dr. Fung, and wondered if implementing fasting could be the missing piece to the puzzle that could finally carry me all the way to my goal. So, at the beginning of 2018, I started adding fasting to a very clean, simple Keto eating plan and lo and behold, I stand here today on the first day of 2019 down 240+ pounds from my highest weight, and finally able to focus on good health, instead of numbers on a scale for the first time in my life. I feel strong, in control, and armed with the knowledge and skills to stay healthy.
My new goal for 2019 includes spreading the word that following a Ketogenic way of life with fasting can make your dreams for good health become your reality in 2019❣️
